This was a donor of considerable means. He was interested\nin offsetting his very considerable income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As luck would have it for our recurrent donor, he had a number of properties he had purchased years before and all of which were vacant. Not interested in developing the properties, our donor knew they had significant value. So he began the process of donation, donating a different property each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tax benefits of donating a property<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>The donor\u2019s annual property donation to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kars4kids.org\/real-estate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Kars4Kids (opens in a new tab)\">Kars4Kids<\/a> meant a benefit in the form of a tax deduction of the properties\u2019 fair market value. There was never a problem with the donation on either side: not for the donor, and not for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kars4kids.org\/real-estate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Kars4Kids (opens in a new tab)\">Kars4Kids<\/a>.
