Scott Braden, creator of superhero Kent Menace, is, in our opinion, a superhero car donor. After all, what could be more heroic than supporting programs that mentor and educate children across the United States and Canada?<\/p>

In that sense, all our donors are superheroes. But not all of them have fathered a harpoon-wielding superhero, as is the case with Braden, co-creator of Kent Menace #0: The Director\u2019s Cut<\/em>, in conjunction with artist Mike Malbrough.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Monster-Battling Superhero<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Inspired by Superman, Kent Menace, the son of a pirate king, battles monsters the likes of which us ordinary mortals never dreamt. Except perhaps in a nightmare. Braden refers to these monsters as \u201cepic.\u201d We believe him. (You should, too.)<\/p>

The Westminster, Maryland native worked in marketing and communications at Diamond Comic Distributors for some 10 years. Braden\u2019s job had him writing about comic books and interviewing comic book writers. It was during this time that the idea of his own comic book superhero, Kent Menace, evolved in Braden\u2019s mind. Eventually, he brought Kent Menace to life, bringing fans of superhero comic books another icon to read about and relish.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Kars4Kids: You chose to make a charitable donation of your car, when you could have sold or junked it. Why donation?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>

Scott Braden: A very good friend of mine suggested Kars4Kids. And, to be honest, supporting an organization that supports and mentors children of different backgrounds is a no-brainer. It is now clich\u00e9 to say this, but our children are indeed our future. Let\u2019s give them the tools to make ours a better world to live in.<\/p>

Kars4Kids: Why did you choose Kars4Kids as the recipient of your donation? <\/strong><\/p>

Scott Braden: First, it was suggested to me by someone I love and trust implicitly. Second, again, giving Jewish and gentile children the ability to better their lives should be all our responsibility. I just wanted to do my part.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Kars4Kids: Kent Menace is a superhero. What would Kent have to say about his co-creator donating a car to an organization whose mission is to educate and mentor children?<\/strong><\/p>

Scott Braden: \u201cI may be as old as my pirate father\u2019s long arm and just younger than the gray, grave sky, but I am nowhere as timeless as mankind\u2019s desire to care for and protect our children.
