WATCH: Stranger Danger Social Experiment Video

A new stranger danger video is freaking us out. Why? Because it’s an idea we mostly thought we’d covered as parents and teachers: Stranger Danger.

By now, everyone knows the phrase “stranger danger.” We all know what it means. Even very young children.

But guess what? Kids haven’t taken in the message of stranger danger at all. It’s still a simple thing for predators to go online and persuade children to meet them and get into their cars with them.

How do we know? This stranger danger video tells us so:

It was a social experiment. Coby Persin got permission from the parents of three girls, ages 14, 13, and 12, to try and lure the girls to meet him, a total stranger. The parents were sure their daughters would refuse.

But they didn’t. Which says that all our efforts at educating our children about  stranger danger ARE NOT WORKING. Because if our lessons on stranger danger were doing the job, this stranger danger video would not now exist.

Stranger Danger Education: NOT WORKING

And that is the reason this stranger danger video, a simple social experiment, has received over 25 million views.

We’re freaked out.  We want to protect our daughters, our children.

What more can we do to persuade them not to trust strangers?

One thing you can do is show them this stranger danger video.
