Our Impact.
Ignorance is not bliss!
At Kars4Kids, we know that today’s students are tomorrow’s citizens. That’s why we invest so much in building our kids, both in mind and spirit, to give them the foundation they need to develop into productive members of their communities.
Your car donation will benefit Kars4Kids, a d/b/a of Joy for Our Youth. JOY is a 501(c)(3), a national organization dedicated to addressing the educational, material, emotional and spiritual needs of Jewish children and their families.
The Challenge
The challenges children face today are enormous. Negative influences, peer pressure, learning difficulties, underperforming schools, family strife and financial stress all exert pressure on children’s development, and unfortunately, many children lack the support they need to navigate their complex world.
Many students are not succeeding in school. Family structures are often frayed due to hectic schedules. Few adults are available to provide consistent, positive role models.Many children do not have time for or access to appropriate recreational outlets. Children have difficulty developing social and life skills. When these challenges are left unmet, the result can be anti-social behavior and school failure, with a long-lasting negative impact on the children’s adult lives.
Our Approach
By funding various educational and youth programs we provide our children with the tools and skills to succeed. However, programs alone do not affect children – people do. To give our youth the opportunity to successfully meet the challenges of their lives, we surround them with a solid network of caring, experienced and always-available mentors who become involved in all the major aspects of the children’s lives:
- School
- Extra-curricular learning and recreation
- Summer camp
- Family life
- Spiritual and moral development
We accomplish this through our various programs and largely through the funding of Oorah, a national nonprofit organization.
Our Impact
By catering to our kids individualized needs, we help them overcome their individual challenges and develop a healthy, pro-active outlook that prepares them to become successful, spiritually healthy adults, parents and members of their communities.
