The new Cash for Clunkers bill will allow consumers to receive cash vouchers when they trade in their old gas guzzlers for new, more fuel-efficient models.


All old vehicles will be eligible for the cash vouchers.

Cash For Clunkers of Kars for Kids
The old vehicle must:
have been manufactured in model year 1984 or later
Car aging? Send your vintage vehicle our way.
be in drivable condition
Has your car broken down? We’ll tow it for you, for free!
have a combined fuel economy of 18 miles
per gallon or less
Just miss the cut off? We’ll take it, and help
preserve the environment by removing another car
with high emissions from circulation . Find your
vehicle’s combined city/highway fuel economy from the CARS goverment website.
have been continuously registered and insured in your
name for at least one year immediately prior to trade-in
Don’t have a title? We can still accept your car,
depending on where you live. Ask us for details.
 
 
To qualify for a cash voucher,
the new vehicle must:
To qualify for a tax deductible receipt and
a vacation voucher for a 3 day two night hotel stay,
  • be new or leased for a period of at least five years
  • achieve at least 4mpg more than the trade-in car
  • not exceed a suggested retail price of $45,000
