Is Baby Furniture Ever Really Safe?

Is baby furniture ever really safe? That was the thought that came to mind when I watched this humorous clip:

I couldn’t help but remember the way my eldest daughter chewed tooth marks into the wood of her crib as she teethed in a furious frenzy. I remember thinking that the wood and whatever it was treated with, stain or varnish, could not possibly be good for her to ingest. But how do you stop an infant from teething on her crib? “No no!” just really doesn’t, if you’ll excuse the expression, “cut it,” when it comes to getting a six-month old to do your bidding.

There are websites where you can get recommendations from the experts about the safest baby products. And there are, as well, websites where you can get up to the minute information on recalls of baby products and furniture. So do your due diligence when purchasing baby products and furniture and be comforted by the fact that babies are much sturdier than they look.

Still nervous? Watch some more baby capers and remember: they’re only young once!
